Woodland Traditional Archers invite you to our annual May Shoot to be held May 13th and 14th, 2017
Please join us for a weekend of fun and friendly competition for traditional archers of all ages. Please pass this along to your fellow archers. Located in the same great location as previous years! Elmhurst Outdoors (65 Ganong Rd, Erbs Cove, NB E5N 8B2 (506) 832-4421) A 10 minute drive from Hampton, New Brunswick (see directions below). Primitive camping is available and there is lots of room for trailers. Meals will not be provided. (Please bring your own supplies). There will be a canteen at the lodge, it will be offering a light lunch. Enjoy 2 days of shooting with 2 rounds of 20 stations each day, and 2 arrows per station. There will be a novelty event on Saturday. We will have 6 categories: PeeWee, Junior, Men’s Longbow, Men’s Recurve, Men’s Primitive, and Ladies. Registration will begin at 8:30am on Saturday May 13th. The 1st round will start at 9:30am. Registration fee is $30.00 for adults, $15.00 for Junior’s, and $10.00 for PeeWees. NB Traditional Archery Memorial Cup To promote traditional archery, the traditional archery community in New Brunswick is introducing the NB Traditional Archery Memorial Cup. In order to qualify, starting in 2015 any traditional archer must shoot the 2-day May shoot hosted by Woodland Traditional Archery Club and the 2-day August shoot hosted by Mountaineers Archery Club. The highest combined score in each of the adult divisions of recurve, longbow and primitive will be declared the winners and those names will be engraved on the trophy. These tournaments are open to all traditional archers whether they live in New Brunswick or not. In memory, the traditional archers who have passed away and who have shot at the traditional tournaments in New Brunswick are engraved on the trophy. Some names are: David Henry, Frank Scott, Arnold Carson, Bob Jacobson, Russ Dyer, Richard Bell, John Webber Directions * Take exit 158 off highway #1 into Hampton. * Turn right at the stop sign beside the RCMP station. * Take the third exit from the roundabout. * Stay on that road until you come to Kredl’s Market. * Turn left at Kredl’s Market. * Stay on that road. * After 5 or 6 minutes turn right on to Peters Hill Rd. * Follow Peters Hill Rd until you cross a one lane bridge, then, veer off to the left on to the Ganong Rd. * The location is Elmhurst Outdoors, approximately 3 miles down the Ganong Rd. or You can also come through the Gondola Point ferry if coming from the Saint John area. Cross the Gondola Point Ferry. Turn right and go to Kingston Corner. Turn right, taking the 845 toward Hampton. Turn left on Whiting Lane (5km beyond Kingston) and then right on the Ganong Road. The location is Elmhurst Outdoors (about 1.5 km) Come on out and have fun!
